FAST, EASY, AND DELICIOUS SPAGHETTI SAUCE

  • 1 lb. Italian ground turkey sausage
  • Black pepper to taste
  • ½ cup chopped onion
  • 15 oz low sodium tomato sauce
  • ¼ cup tomato paste
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 TBS dried parsley flakes
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 TBS Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar or ½ tsp monk fruit
  • 1 cup pasta water (save a cup of water when you drain the pasta)
  • Fresh oregano or basil leaves

1. Season sausage with pepper

2. In a large skillet, add the sausage and chopped onion and brown. There shouldn’t be much grease to drain using turkey sausage.

3. Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, parsley, garlic powder, crushed red pepper, Worcestershire, and sugar to skillet.

4. Stir well and bring to a boil. Add the pasta water and stir again.

5. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes. You can add some oregano or basil leaves if you want.
